
Big Island Training Camp Hawaii is excited to present two camps surrounding Lavaman Waikoloa Triathlon. The first camp is a pre-race camp designed to prepare you for ultimate performance at the race. The second is a post-race camp which will transition you from race mode back into training for the next race.

Prepare for your best triathlon performance at the Lavaman Waikoloa Triathlon Camp. The camp is a 4 day pre-race camp that starts on Wednesday, March 28 and ends Saturday, March 31 (the evening before the race). The camp addresses the training and pre-race needs of every camper, from the beginner to the advanced, and will enable you to go into the race with the training, taper, and newfound knowledge to ensure maximum results. Be guided through crucial last minute training and taper as well as fine tune mechanics and efficiencies. Learn beneficial information regarding exercise physiology, nutrition, training tools, and racing tips through the seminars and question/answer sessions in the camp. Understand the mechanics of triathlon, from fuel to finish.

Post-Race Triathlon Camp

This post-race camp starts immediately following the Lavaman Waikoloa Triathlon and is an excellent way to transition from tapering to training again. The training will be focused on the beautiful Kohala coast utilizing the same highways that the Ironman World Championship traverses, the challenging workouts will help get you back into race shape quickly. We will swim at the best beaches and run on road and trails along the coast. Also, learn crucial information about your training including speed work, hill work, lactate threshold training, and strength and flexibility. This camp promises to be packed full quality workouts and good times.
