Lavaman is a local, family owned triathlon. We do not make a profit. All net proceeds are donated back to the community.
USAT one-day license fee is paid online at time of registration and goes to USAT and is non-refundable.
This is currently set at $21 for individual and $9 for relay team member.

2027 LAVAMAN TRIATHLON & DUATHLON REFUND POLICY
NO REFUNDS will be given by the Lavaman Triathlon.
Transfer Options:
All transfers are handled in Chronotrack. You can log back in to your registration and make the change based on the following restrictions:
TRANSFER BETWEEN INDIVIDUAL TRIATHLON, DUATHON OR AQUABIKE
Athletes may transfer between the individual Triathlon, Duathlon or Aquabike to any time before the start of the event. There is no charge for this change.
TRANSFER FROM INDIVIDUAL TO RELAY
Athletes may transfer from an individual to a relay team any time before the start of the event. There is no refund for this change. Lavaman does not facilitate the creation or modifications of relay teams. This is done solely by the athletes. If you are looking to join or create a relay team, you can post on our Facebook group Lavaman Waikoloa Triathlon.
TRANSFERS FROM RELAY TO INDIVIDUAL
If an athlete wants to transfer from a relay entry to an individual entry (if an individual slot is available) their relay fee will be credited towards the cost of the individual fee.
THERE IS NO TRANSFERRING OF INDIVIDUAL OR RELAY ENTRIES BETWEEN ATHLETES.
CANCELLATION:
If an athlete cannot race due to military servcie or pregnancy, Lavaman will credit 50% of their entry fee, before fees and taxes, to the 2028 race only. All requests for cancellation must be received by March 1, 2027. After that date, athletes will no longer be eligible for rollover credit. There will be no exceptions to this policy. Please consider Third party Insurance offered at registration.
THIRD PARTY INSURANCE FOR ATHLETES:
It is recommended that athletes consider purchasing event registration insurance in order to obtain refunds from the insurance company for covered incidents. It is important to read the coverage before purchasing as all incidents are not covered. You will be offered the optio to purchase this insurance during registration. Lavaman is not a party to this insurance. It is between the athlete and the Insurance provider.
